The Robins SGH 4 is a compact, precision valve seat and guide machine designed for accurate machining on small to medium cylinder heads. Its fixed-pilot system provides high rigidity and produces chatter-free valve seats with micron-level concentricity. Robins’ Rubi-Hard premium multi-angle inserts maintain stable, consistent cutting across all seat materials.
The SGH 4 includes an integrated guide-honing process that brings valve guides to final size with correct stem-to-guide clearance. Robins is the only manufacturer that allows guide honing on the same machine before seat cutting, improving guide geometry and ensuring superior seat concentricity.
With adjustable spindle speeds, ±10° spindle tilt, and a wide range of optional fixtures and pilots, the SGH 4 delivers reliable, repeatable performance for any engine rebuilding or performance machine shop.
